Auburn City Schools consists of four primary schools that sister with four intermediate schools, one middle school, one junior high and one high school. Thanks to progressive use of technology and overwhelming support from the city of Auburn and the Auburn community, Auburn City Schools is recognized as a trailblazer among public schools—not only in the state of Alabama, but in the nation. The district has been featured in documentaries by the Intel Corporation, Inc. and the George Lucas Educational Foundation. Auburn City Schools was the first SMART Showcase District in the United States. All classrooms are equipped with SMART Boards. Currently, the student to computer ratio for the system is 2-1.
